SubscriberI'm trying to setup the wind direction for a large masterplan wind simulation but the setup only allow for selecting a face from the bounding box. Is it possible to rotate the direction of the arrows assigned to each face of the bounding box to match a different wind orientation? -

Ansys EmployeeHello Pablo While there is no direct way to change the angle of velocity, below are a couple of options that can be tried out: 1. Change the shape of the bounding box. Create the inlet face at the required angle so the velocity normal to the inlet face would give you the desired angle 2. If you don't want to change the shape of bounding box, then find out the 2 components (horizontal and vertical) of the inclined velocity vector and then specify them in the velocity boundary condition. Boost Ansys Fluent Simulations with AWS
Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) helps engineers design products in which the flow of fluid components is a significant challenge. These different use cases often require large complex models to solve on a traditional workstation.
