Ansys EmployeeArrayCan you please be more specific by what you mean by get? For example do you mean to get them in a X-Y plot, tabular data, written out to a text file, saved to an array...? nAn basic assumption of modal analysis is that the displacements will be harmonic and in the form {u-i}={phi-i}cos(omega-i*time). Where i stands for mode i. u is the displacement vector of the system, omega-i is the natural frequency of mode i, and phi-i is the mode shape of mode i (eigenvector). So and displacement that you find for any point has this same form. Mike -

Subscriberthak you for yor answer. Yes exactly, I would like to get the displacement of each vertex written out in a text file. It is true that they have always a sinusoidal form but i am interested in the exact coordinates that they have during the vibrating motion of each mode.nnenricon
