Display component or solid name on the member within the structure sketch

      Hello,

Is there a way to display component or solid name that is in the tree on the member depicted in sketch area? or when you click on solid it displays the name of the solid without looking at the tree.

      Regards,

      Sam

      You can always annotate.

What application are you using? Design Modeler? SpaceClaim?

      In SpaceClaim,

I don't think there is a way to do this. Maybe, I will be proven wrong.

However, you can always use the Note tool:

When you select a body, it is highlighted in tree. You can also right click and use "locate in tree"

      Sandeep

      Thank you Sandeep!

What you suggested is what i have been doing. i was trying to avoid writing notes.

In the tree, is there a way after i rename the solid, the component will have the same name? Now i am renaming the component  and renaming the solid. i want to minimize my renaming work .

Yeah, I think it has to be manually redone sam. I am not aware of a simpler way other than scripting may be.

      You can display name.

When you select any body in model tree, it is highlighted in graphics.

When you select any body in graphics, you can use right click and use Locate in Structure Tree

      Hope this helps.
