      No, you can have nonlinear contact with large deflection off.nAn example is a shrink fit or interference fit of a shaft in a hole. Very small deformations are involved.nThe contact definition even has a setting to speed up contact computations in this case, it is called Small Sliding and if you set that On, it will speed up computation, but it is off by default because the general case for contact is large sliding, and when you have that you must manually turn on Large Deflection.n
