SubscriberHello everyone,
I would like to know if it´s possible to obtain the erosion rate form the model i am simulating. This model is a 3D VOF mixture of 3 fluids which 2 are inside the model and the other is introduced from the bottom, i would like to know if i do an injection at for example 2 minutes of simulation, a certain amount of particles from a file, i can see how this particles erode the walls of my 3D model. The idea is once the particles are introduced at certain positions, keep the VOF simulation working and see how the particles follow the flow of the introduced fluid and once these particles hit the walls, see the erosion.
Thanks for your consideration.
Regards,
Borja

SubscriberSorry for the late response but i have been very busy. I have to say that the only thing that was needed is patience. I let the simulation run for a long time and at the end some results of erosion are being shown. The particles that were floating in the model finally impact the walls so erosion could be measured.
Thanks for everything.
Regards,
Borja

Boost Ansys Fluent Simulations with AWS
Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) helps engineers design products in which the flow of fluid components is a significant challenge. These different use cases often require large complex models to solve on a traditional workstation.
