SubscriberHello
I open this service to report anomalies that many customers have complained about, I ask if there is a way to solve it.
By exporting the files to dwg the annotation and solids thicknesses are not maintained , Spaceclaim exports the file with the same thickness as all lines.
In this way the exported design is hard to read.
For example, this is not the case if you export in PDF format where the thickness of the different lines is maintained ( as in the attached photo) and the design is well understood.
The other problem that occurs during the export both in PDF and in dwg and that if you switch off the tangent lines Spaceclaim exports them anyway ( as in the attached video)

SubscriberCharudatta Bandgar Hello
There is a bug in the creation of mechanical drawing boards.
When you go to save a file in dwg and there are only views with the same scale as the sheet , the (hidden) dotted lines export them correctly as in picture 1.
While when you go to save a file in dwg and there are views with different scale , the (hidden) dotted lines incorrectly export them in an incomprehensible way , are very long lines (Photo 2)
I can send myself two examples of dwg files in private
The last thing is that when I go to change the color of the views to white I do not export them with the chosen color , while with all the other colors it works. (I attach video)Export it in black or dark grey
If you need more descriptions to understand the problem and then can correct it I’m at your disposal
I look forward to your informationBest Regards

SubscriberHello Robert ,
For your third query,
the (hidden) dotted lines incorrectly export them in an incomprehensible way
I was not able to replicate the issue. I have sent you a secure transfer link, can you send your .dwg files there?

SubscriberHello Robert,
For your first two queries, I tried replicating the issue, and they do seem to a bug. I have filed the bug report on our portal, so that the developers can look into it. For your reference the bug IDs are 298619 (tangent line bug) and 298628 (Edge thickness bug) respectively.
For your third query, I will need to investigate it further. I will get back to you with my findings, as soon as possible.

For your third query,

this actually is a bug, thanks for bringing that to our notice.
Although I checked it with 2020 R2, the next unreleased version of Spaceclaim, with SpaceClaim export setting changed to from Tiegha to RealDWG, if the AutoCAD file is exported, this issue will not be observed. The hidden (dotted) line will not be changed regardless of having differently scaled views on the sheet, and the bug will be resolved.

SubscriberHello Robert ,
I tried recreating the fourth query,
change the color of the views to white I do not export them with the chosen color , while with all the other colors it works
It also seems like either a bug or a limitation, for which I will need to further discuss it with the developers. For now, I have filed a bug report for the same, with Bug report ID 299951. Once again, thanks a lot for bringing these to our notice.

SubscriberCharudatta Bandgar Hello
You managed to see that the dotted lines in the exploded configuration are too thin and work and can only be viewed on video
Thanks for sharing your Idea. I will share your idea/input with the product development team about the trace line.

SubscriberCharudatta Bandgar Hello
It would be very nice if as an improvement in the next versions the color of a mechanical drawing table view is not connected to the others in such a way as to be able to assign different colors.
Now it is not possible to change color only in the isometric view or in a single viewBset Regards
