SubscriberHello every body,
I want to do CFD-DEM simulation by coupling EDEM and Fluent in a cluster without GUI.
I did only a simple Fluent simulation on Fluent TUI before and it is the first time that I want to do the simulation of EDEM and Fluent in a batch mode.
About coupling these two software and the commands that I should use such as connecting the interface, synchorising EDEM,....I have no idea.
Is there any refrences or website that help me about the Fluent TUI commands?
Regards,

Ansys EmployeeThe easier method is to set everything up live via the GUI and then trigger the run on the cluster using a journal. Does EDEM control the process, Fluent, or a coupling tool?

SubscriberYou are right. When I wanted to run a CFD simulation I set all parameters in my computer and only run it on cluster. but now, I should use coupling tools and when EDEM and Fluent connect together, new features will apear in Fluent and should be set.
So I should set them after coupling in a Fluent TUI.
Most of the setting should be done in Fluent,So Fluent control the process.Regards,

Ansys EmployeeAnd you can't set up both parts on your machine then send to the cluster?

SubscriberNo.
This is the whole process:
I should save fluent case (from fluent) and dem file (from EDEM) separelaty.
Then a load edem journal should be read in fluent.
The last step will be setting dem parameters and model in Fluent.

Ansys EmployeeIt's potentially not that simple, the author can't remember if the commands have a TUI equivalent, and we can't provide information beyond what's in the manual. You may need to use the GUI.
