SubscriberDear Ansys Support,
I have a problem with loading the results from my analysis into the buckling analysis. There are temperature and pressure loads in the analysis, and non-linear frictional contact appears. I am getting information that there is a problem with the temperature condition:
“The prestress loading pattern cannot be retained for Buckling analysis when Thermal Condition is defined in the prestress analysis.”.
Only after excluding the temperature from the analysis was it possible to solve the eigenvalue buckling.
In this case, the stresses due to temperature are important to me in the buckling analysis result. Will I get an explanation of why this is happening and can I somehow get around it so that the buckling takes into account temperature?

Ansys EmployeeHello Anna Lis
From your query, I assume you are using Discovery AIM for your buckling simulation.
Discovery AIM does not support Eigenvalue buckling in Structural simulation with Thermal effects.
It is only supported in plain Structural simulation.
You may want to check out Ansys Mechanical for this simulation.
