SubscriberI am trying to simulate a case of electro optic effect. The mode profile from FDE simulation is shown in the attached image. I assume that a CHARGE simulation is required to estimate the density of electric field. The core material and the material on which the contacts are placed are not in the material repository of the CHARGE package. What necessary parameters are crucial to build a custom material? (coductivity, etc;)

Ansys EmployeeIn CHARGE, metallic materials are treated as ideally perfect electric conductor. The only required material property is the work function. Please refer the metallic materials such as Ag, Au in the material database.
In Photonics simulations, metals can be real metal with permittivity (from conductivity) or refractive index. It can also be considered as perfect electric conductor PEC if you do now expect any metallic effect such as surface plasmon polariton.
