Ansys Employee你理解的模式,可能是教科书上的传播模式,还有其它模式,比如辐射模。
EME的基本原理是两个Cell界面上左右两侧的横向电磁场连续,因此需要非传播模式才能满足。 如果界面两边变化比较小,仅用传播模式基本可以,比如Taper,当然没有再非传播模式存在情况下准确了。
原则上说,如果两边都用无限多个模式,应该能得到精确结果。不过一般没有必要,因为很多模式贡献非常少。
如果没有多层结构,这个器件用FDTD也可以仿真。用EME的时候,扫描波长时我们假设这个波段的波导色散很小。如果色散比较大,结果可能误差大。建议你用中心波长作为EME仿真波长,而不是最短或者最长波长。

Subscriber感谢老师的回复。在保证仿真区域足够大的前提下。选择相同的模式个数,是不是仿真区域越小,计算结果越精确?因为仿真区域越小,仿真区支持的模式个数越少。

仿真区域小模式个数少可能是因为波导没有被全部包括?或者包含PML、PEC 后离散的离散辐射模式个数可能与尺寸有关,不过不应该对结果有大的影响,它们只是用于让界面上场匹配而已。
