Enable multi-coefficient material fit from script

I am trying to create a 3D material from sampled data and enable the multi-coefficient fit from the scripting environment. Been looking long and hard at the documentation, but couldn't find anything. Is this actually not aaccessible through the scripting API and needs to be enabled via the GUI only? I know that there's the getmodeindex() function, which allows me to get the indices MODE would be using when nonlinear fitting is enabled. I also know how to set the 'max coefficients' for the material, but am stomped on how to programmatically enable the checkbox for the fitting; or set the wavelength range. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks and a happy 4th of July

Hi Can you please add a screenshot of the setting you need?

It's the 'fit with multi-coefficient model'. I realize that there's also an identical setting within the FDE object, which is readily scriptable. Not sure how these two settings interact with each other, though. If I wanted to set up a new material, this should be independent from the FDE object.

      Thanks
