Ensight functions with Python

Is possible to run Ensight commands in Python outside of the GUI Toolbox and GUI Python interpreter? E.g., sourcing Toolbox macros *.py files (or Ensight functions in general) via command prompt.

I have been reviewing the ANSYS Ensight Interface Manual but more information on this would be helpful.

Of note: While my workstation is Windows 10 and not Linux OS (unfortunately, as that would be more seamless), I do have Windows Subsystem for Linux - which allows for some work-arounds when it comes to certain processes.

Sure you can do that using the "-p" start flag and then apply the script you want which might read the data and do a couple of operations.

Can you provide an example command? E.g., would it look something like the following:
      ~/ANSYS Inc/v211/CEI/bin/ensighticon211.bat -p macro.py

definitely not with ensighticon211. Just ensight -batch -p file.py

      Oof that's what I meant. On Windows 10, ./ensight211 -batch -p macros.py worked.
