SubscriberWe have our license server set up on our university campus currently. This allows us to use the campus VPN to connect to it and fetch licenses remotely. However, even when physically on campus ANSYS Workbench fails to check out a license, instead throwing this error:

Ansys EmployeeThis may be due to firewall blocking the VENDOR daemon port.
In your license file add a port for the VENDOR:
Example:
SERVER Test 00505692f3df 1055
VENDOR ansyslmd PORT=1056
Then make sure there are Inbound/outbound firewall exceptions for Ports: 1055, 1056, 2325

SubscriberYeah, we have the port specified (just as you gave here) and firewall exceptions. I actually tried disabling the firewall altogether using the Linux command
sudo ufw disable
which seemed to shut it down but I still had the same issues as above.
