Are there any spaces or odd characters in the path or filename? Are you using Win10?

there is a ) and spaces. However it usually works with these. Are spaces something you recommend avoiding?

appologies actually in the file trajectory its just called Geom, I am using workbench as I have had more success with meshing geometries in workbench than without workbench, however the file that I opened in spaceclaim does have spaces and a ) if that makes a difference.

The bracket ) is probably the cause. Fluent Meshing (and Fluent) are originally UNIX based and tend to react badly to odd characters as they often mean something. Spaces can cause problems, but that's less of an issue now. However, as most staff are either UNIX trained or were trained by their peers who are UNIX trained adding spaces to paths & labels tends to be something we don't do.
