I am trying to do magnetostatics analysis for a wireless power transfer coil geometry. I am getting the error message below and I am confused on why. I am very new to the program so sorry if my question is rudimentary. Any further guidance on the situation would be greatly appreciated. I really appreciate all the help I have been getting on this forum. If there is any way I can help just let me know how! I am trying to add current to the highlighted copper coil as in the attached picture. Assign Excitation-->Current and I am getting the same error message as before--Clicking F is not doing anything for me. Any other suggestions? I am trying to compare my core design (circular Pie shape) output to the one in the below figure. To do this, I believe, I have to perform a magnetostatics analysis on my wireless power transfer coil design (Circular Pie shape). As mentioned before I am trying to follow the process outlined in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ufez4F0X2fY&t=24s. However, when I try and add a current excitation I am getting the error mentioned in my first post. Furthermore, I am unable to extend the Leeds to the outermost edge of my meshing region. Am I not able to do this type of analysis on my core design? I attached a picture of my core design with color (grey = aluminum, black = Ferrite, orange = copper). Any further guidance on the situation would be appreciated. Hi @icellb1 ,I was able to select the face, and I followed the rest of the steps outlines in the video. However, I am now getting these error messages when I run it. Do you have any guidance on what to do for these error messages? Please go through this video and see if it helps. It will definitely help you develop an errorless coil structure, unlike the previous one you attempted. nhttps://youtu.be/hIwQ_u8l7kMnOne thing you must try is that instead of helix structure in this video try a spiral structure with the same process and go on with what you have learned. However, I am unable to change where the coil is located. For all other objects I make, the program asks me to specify what coordinates it wants me to center the object in but it does not ask me for my spiral coil. Do you know how I could move the coils orientation--change the coordinates it is centered at? Following this I will then be able to show you my excitation. Keep in mind I am simulating wireless power transfer and therefore I have a variable called offset (airgap length) and when I use the move option I am unable to type in variables in bottom left (when I clock tab).
