SubscriberHello,
I want to use the omega based EARSM by Wallin and Johansson for propeller and wing simulations. I am using the pressure based, coupled solver in Fluent. Unfortunately, in Fluent this turbulence model is only a beta feature. Therefore, the documentation I found on its implementation is rather scarce. From the CFX documentation however, I understood that all the omega based RSMs use automatic wall treatment.
Can someone confirm that this is also the case for the implementation in Fluent?
If yes, does this mean that depending on the grid resolution it either uses wall functions or no wall functions? i.e. does it resolve the boundary layer for a y+ <1 instead of using wall functions?
Thank you in advance,
Soren

Ansys EmployeeYes I confirm. It uses the automatic wall treatment like the other omega based models.
