Exporting surface model

  Hi,
  
  Is there an option to export a surface model with its thickness being maintained.
  
  Say i have original file with 100 bodies surface bodies and all thickness are given, then i want to create a new file where i just want to export 50 out of that 100 bodies, if i try to export the model using STP or IGS the thickness from original file does not carry forward to the new file. Meaning i have to key in again the thickness for the 50 bodies i export.
  
  Appreciate if anyone can advice me for this
