SubscriberIs there a way to create an enclosure and then use that for a fluid flow calculation? If I create an enclosure (Setup>Enclosure) that just creates a bounding box, it does not boolean-out the solid it encloses. If I create a fluid flow simulation, it doesn't let me select the enclosure (by default). If I enable enclosure selection, it still doesn't seem to operate correctly. Almost as if doing a fluid simulation requires the solution to create the fluid domain, rather than doing anything on my own ahead of time?
Basically, how do I manually create a fluid domain (internal or external) and use that for the fluid simulation?

Ansys EmployeeHello doatis
Discovery Live allows creation of enclosure which can be used later in simulation process. Please find attached a video which shows an enclosure created and then used in defining fluid flow simulation. On similar lines, you can first create internal fluid and then use it in fluid simulation.
If the method shown in attached video is not working at your end, can you send a test geometry for further investigation?

SubscriberNaresh Patre - Thank you so much! That method works, not sure what I was doing wrong before. Chalk it up to user error. Thanks!

Boost Ansys Fluent Simulations with AWS
Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) helps engineers design products in which the flow of fluid components is a significant challenge. These different use cases often require large complex models to solve on a traditional workstation.
