External model error

  Hi all,
  
  I am trying to create an assembly in Workbench using external model. I created a *.dat file from workbench for a couple of subassemblies and when I try to create a Mechanical model/ Static structural it throws the following error (Also tried with a single subassembly and failed). Any ideas on how to resolve it?
  
  I imported the *dat to Mechanical APDL and created a *cdb file but its duplicating all contacts, deleting joints and creating issues with pretension bolts.
