Extracting data from geometries

      Hi,

I'm wondering if it is possible to extract the data of a primitive shape such as it's position and dimensions using a command in IronPython  which would return these values. I've had a look through the scripting guide but can't find anything on this. Alternatively is it possible to extract design variables instead?

Which tool are you looking at? Also what do you need/want to do with the data?

I'm using Q3D at the moment but may be moving to HFSS in the future. I want a user to be able to define some locations and dimensions on a premade model which can than be extracted when the model is loaded using IronPython. IronPython will then use this data to adapt the model. I thought that perhaps the easiest way to do this would be for a user to draw a shape at the desired location with the desired dimensions which IronPython could then extract if possible.
