SubscriberHello Everyone
I make a new model of my tube with the difference dimensions from the previous one,
I try to generate the mesh, but i get the different results.
How can I solve this problem? I want get the uniform element and if can, it will be better if the surface shape is ortagonal.
(This is the previous meshing result)
(This is current results)
Your help will be much appreciated. -

Ansys EmployeeIn the mesh section check the sizing: you need to refine the mesh ie use smaller cells.

SubscriberThank you for the recomendation. I have refined the mesh and then I get this message "A software execution error occurred inside the mesher. The process suffered an unhandled exception or ran out of usable memory."
To make you easier to visualize the problem, here i give you the dimension
outer diameter : 0.375"
thickness : 0.00625"
length : 1550ft
I model the tube in shell mode

SubscriberTry adding Edge Sizing on the circular end of the tube and specify 8 divisions.

SubscriberThanks for the advice. With edge sizing, i've get mesh just like what i want. But it only succes on shorter tube. On my real model, it always show this message.
A software execution error occurred inside the mesher. The process suffered an unhandled exception or ran out of usable memory.
Is the problem with my pc? or there's solution so i can generate a more simple meshing?

SubscriberI've been doing experiment and It only works up to 500 inch tubing length while my model is 1550 ft on length. I've frustated that it doesnt work eventough the geometry is very very simple.

SubscriberTry creating a pattern of 37 planes, then use them to divide up the long body into 38 parts, then put those 38 parts into one multibody part. Each part will be < 500 inches long.
A simpler method that may or may not work is to create one plane that divides the tube in half so you have two semicircular tube bodies. Put those 2 bodies into a Multibody part using Form New Part and see if that allows the mesher to complete meshing on a tube longer than 500 inches.

SubscriberThank you very much Sir. I've tried the second method and it works well.
I'm sorry, but My intention to make the topic will be easier to find for another user who has same issues like mine.
