SubscriberI wanted to try out icepak on what I think is a simple design. It's a single LED on a PCB board that I designed in fusion360 and exported as a step file. First I tried to just import the step file into icepak, but it protested. So fine I downloaded R2 and used SpaceClaim to simplify it. SpaceClaim didn't complain and put a mesh on top of my model. Then I tried to import it into icepak but I get the same error if I try to load the sdoc file or if I try to connect to the active SpaceClaim session. Which is Failed to export SpaceClaim Document. There doesn't seem to be anymore details that I can use to debug. Does anyone have any advice here? I was able to load and run this model in simscale okay, so it's not a wild model :) Thanks!

Ansys EmployeeHi Eric,
Did you save the spaceclaim model? Try saving it and then opening it. If problem still persists, please file a service request at customer.ansys.com
Thanks

SubscriberHi, yes I did save the spaceclaim model. I also tried to open that model just using the file instead of the link. I was never able to get spaceclaim to work but by adjusting the "strictness" of the step file import in icepak I was finally able to get it to load that way. No idea why spaceclaim doesn't work though :)
