SubscriberHi, I am using FDTD. I have two similar designs except for the sequence of setting up the objects. There is no overlap in the objects so the sequence on when they are built should not matter. I already checked the mesh order and they are the same, so it means that overlapping of two objects doesnt happen.
I use a python code + lumerical script to build these files so I am sure that only the arrangement of the object is changes and nothing more. However, the transmission spectra of these two samples differ (see attached photo). I used mode as the source because Im simulating light propagation in a waveguide. Other than the source, I have no idea where this error is coming from and which one is actually the right simulation.
If you have any idea where is this coming from, please let me know.
