SubscriberI'm trying to model a 1D poppet valve with both a top and bottom seat contact. For this, I ideally need to know the contact stiffness (N/m), contact damping (N/(m/s)) and a full damping penetration (m). nI'm wondering what setup would be needed for me to be able to model the valve contact in FEA, and then obtain those values, or at least the stiffness and damping, from the output results?n -

Ansys EmployeeWhich contacts are you using? Ideally, you should be able to insert a contact tool in the results to check some https://ansyshelp.ansys.com/account/Secured?returnurl=/Views/Secured/corp/v211/en/wb_sim/ds_Contact_Tool.html nIf you want to check the results during the solution you can also use the contact trackers https://ansyshelp.ansys.com/account/Secured?returnurl=/Views/Secured/corp/v211/en/wb_sim/ds_Result_Tracker_structural.htmln-AniketnHow to access Ansys help linksnGuidelines for Posting on Ansys Learning Forumn
