      Hi,

I am currently developing my master thesis, and I would need to use the module FENSAP-ICE in order to simulate the ice accretion on a wind turbine generator blade. I would like to ask if the file "FENSAPICE-WB.wbex" is available for student porpouse, in case it is not possible, thete is any alternative?

Thank you very much in advance and best regards

PS: I am trying to follow the instructions of the workbench user manual and I cannot find the file "FENSAPICE-WB.wbex" in order to add it to the workbench, but there is a folder in the downloaded file for installation named "AnsConfigFENSAP.exe" but when I click it, it does not work, nothing happen

Hi, Unfortunately, FENSAP ice is currently not available under student product. Our plan is to make it available under Student version 19.1 or 19.2. As of now, you need to have either research or teaching version to be able to use FENSAP ice.

      Hi,

Thank you very much for answering. And just to try the last time, if I woud like to use it for my master thesis (in order to simulate the ice accretionon a WTG blade, within other works), could I get a special licence somewhere? (just for the ice simulation, becuase for the others with the student version is OK)

      Best regards

We are happy to help you with a license for your Thesis work. The best product to use with be the ANSYS Academic Research CFD product. We can connect you with our regional academic sales team to help here. Your University may already have this product available, so its a case of connecting you. I'll send you a personal email requesting details of your location and university.
