It looks like the best way to do this is to sketch the shapes at the exact location where the corners will be, then fill the surfaces and set the color to black. Create an empty drawing and add the geometry to the sheet as a view. Scale the view to fit and set the display to opaque, then save the format.
If for some reason that doesn't work, create the shapes and export them as DXF/DWG, then import the file again. You may need to set the export settings for AutoCAD to export as solids instead of hidden lines.

The problem is this is 2D only, its for a drawing border and I will make this into a sheet template.
Spaceclaim doesn't seem to allow surface creation in 2D only, which makes sense as its 2D. I was just looking for a fill area command or a hatch that I could turn to solid.
