SubscriberCalculate natural frequencies and mode shapes of the bladed disc in the rotating reference frame forharmonic index values from 2 to 8 at the normal operating conditions. For each harmonic index youshould determine and provide first 5 different frequencies and corresponding mode shapes. Do notforget to take into account the effects of the pre-stressed static state on the modal properties of thebladed disc. Compare results with the natural frequencies calculated without allowing for the pre-stressed state. Assuming that there is engine-order excitation coming from the gas flow for allharmonic indices analysed: from 2 to 8, comment on the possibility of resonance vibrations at thenormal rotation speed.

Boost Ansys Fluent Simulations with AWS
Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) helps engineers design products in which the flow of fluid components is a significant challenge. These different use cases often require large complex models to solve on a traditional workstation. Click here to join this event to learn how to leverage Ansys Fluids on the cloud, thanks to Ansys Gateway powered by AWS.
