SubscriberMy plan was to model CFRP by following order.
- RVE modelling by Matrial Design and analyze it
- connect that with the geometry,
- mesh modelling
- ACP
Do I really need ACP after when I've been through RVE modelling?
And if I need the ACP, should I just ignore the analyzed RVE data and start with fresh new epoxy and CF engineering data?
To me, these RVE modelling and ACP thing doesn't fit together very well..
Thank you.

SubscriberRVE and ACP approaches serve different needs.
RVE takes a detailed definition of the materials in a unit cube to compute bulk properties to average out those details to allow a solution to the deformation of the structure with a small modeling effort. It may be useful to evaluate the stiffness of the initial design of the structure and make rapid design iterations to get to target values of stiffness or weight.
ACP by contrast maintains all the details of every ply in the stack to compute stress on a ply-by-ply basis for the whole structure which requires a larger modeling effort. This is useful to evaluate the stress in the structure and the margin of safety to ultimate failure.

Boost Ansys Fluent Simulations with AWS
Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) helps engineers design products in which the flow of fluid components is a significant challenge. These different use cases often require large complex models to solve on a traditional workstation.
