can you explain the query in some more details?

Sorry, the text seems to have been deleted when I posted it.

I would like to create carbon ply flatwrap in ACP. So I have imported a surface model into Spaceclaim (can also import a solid, that would just require more rework) and now I have the problem that the separations created in advance in another CAD program cause Spaceclaim to display the surfaces as individual surface elements in the tree.
If I then later define my named selections in Mechanical and these go beyond the surface boundaries, then I get the error in ACP Pre, "not a single connected topology" and a flatwrap cannot be created.

I have already tried to set the properties in Spaceclaim to shared, merge and group. Either I get a geometry error in Mechanical and see nothing or the surfaces are still separated.
Surface merging does not work, because otherwise holes are lost. Combine would probably work, but with 400 surfaces it is quite cumbersome.

So the simplified question is: how can I combine the surfaces in a model that was separated beforehand into a group, without the surfaces merging, but only being a single surface element in the model tree?

have you tried using the shared topology method under the workbench ribbon tab? you can also check force share tool to force share them together.
