SubscriberHello
So my 1 year subscription has ended on 5th of July 2019 and I've bought in advance new, permanent license. 28th of June (1 week ago) I recieved an email with information that 'New subscriptions are ready to be assigned'. Yesterday I uninstalled old version of SpaceClaim, installed a new one, assigned new subscription and everything was looking good until today.
Now I get this message:
"FlexNet Embedded Action: FNE Checkout -< Acquire License
FlexNet Embedded error: [1,7E1,8,0[7000000C,0,C0091]]
Start date for requested feature is in the future."and - from what I can see in my Ansys Account - now the start date of new subscription is on 6th of July 2019 (btw why is it ending in 2045? Just curious).
So, as you can guess, it is a HUGE problem for me since it caught me in the middle of a project and we have a weekend tomorrow & I'm not 100% sure if tomorrow the start date won't change to - for example - 7th of July 2019. Can we do anything with this?
Best regards,
Paweł

Your old license is expiring on 5th of July and hence your new license has been given the start date as 6th of July. You can activate your old license and use it for today until it expires at midnight.
You can manually activate your old license using the below command in the Command Prompt:
ansysls_client.exe -ActivateLicenseEntitlement
For more details on how to run this command please refer this page.
You can then use your new license from tomorrow i.e, 6th of July.
Now, to answer your second query, the default expiration date for your perpetual license is 2045 but your Tecs is valid for 1 year only i.e, up to 5th June 2020.

SubscriberHello Subashni
Thank you for your reply. In "My Subscriptions" tab my first, 1 year license is all in red marked as "Expired" & in "Administration" tab I can read an information saying "ANSYS Discovery Essentials : 1 of 1subscription used", so I'm pretty sure I can't solve this problem the way you proposed.

I can see from my database that you have a device activated on the new license. Are you facing any further issues on this?
