SubscriberHallo everybody!
I am conducting a 2D DES simullation of an airfoil at 90degrees AoA. I am trying to calculate the Strouhal number of the flow. I tend on using the CD value and its pertubations to find the Vortex Shedding Frequency.
When i plot the Magnitude (y axis) vs Strouhal number (x axis) plot i get something like that.

SubscriberWe should not focus on the validity of the results since the Edy Lenghts i resolve is not the ideal.
The think i would like to know is how to interpret this graph to find correctly the Strhl number of the flow.
One idea i have taken from YouTube tutorials is to export the points of the graph to an Excel Sheet and then find the average of the X axis (Strhl numb.) But i am not sure if this is the correct way.
Another idea is to take into acount only the peak of the curve, but again i think this is wrong.
Does anyone have an idea on how to get the info out of an FFT graph correctly?
