SubscriberDear all,
I am using studying the flow over a wing in water- cavitating flow. I am using the VOF model for the fluid part and linear elasticity for the solid one.
My mesh is tetrahedral and conformal between the fluid and the solid part (i.e. in Ansys mesher I have Solid and Fluid under the same "Part" and nodes correspond between the two).
When I enable the multiphase flow, however, I see that in "Cell Zone Conditions->Solid" I have two phases, like in the Fluid part. This does not make sense to me and I would like to know how to solve it, if possible.
Anyway, I can set the proper structural boundary conditions, but in the solid part I always see two phases...
Thanks in advance.
Best,
Kevin

Ansys EmployeeMight be annoying but the Solid will remain Solid even if you See Phase information displayed. Just ensure you are selecting the right material for the solid. I do not seen any documented limitation wrt of VOF and Intrinsic FSI.

SubscriberPerfect, thank you very much. I was really puzzled to see phases there.
Best regards,
Kevin
