I was reading a little bit of the FLUENT theoretical guide.
I saw that FLUENT has two types of algorithms to solve the simulation within the solver I am using, which would be the pressure based solver.
According to the theoretical guide, that solver, can use a segregated algorithm and a coupled algorithm to solve the conservation equations.
My question is: How can I know if I am using a segregated algorithm or a coupled algorithm for my solution using this solver? Since as seen in the image below, which is part of the screen in the configuration stage, FLUENT only allows me to distinguish between the pressure-based solver and the density-based solver, but not between the segregated and coupled algorithms, which are part of the pressure-based solver.
My other question is: If I were to choose the coupled algorithm (if I had the possibility to choose, according to the answer of the previous question), how do I know if for the linearization of the conservation equations I am using an implicit or explicit formulation? Since as it is read in the FLUENT theoretical guide, for a coupled algorithm, I can linearize the conservation equations in one way or the other. -
