SubscriberHello,
A couple of customers are having issues regarding closing of designs in Ansys SpaceClaim. After opening documents and closing them, SpaceClaim freezes and does not repond anymore. The customers have to forcefully close the program and restart it. This problem appeared in the more recent releases of Ansys SpaceClaim.
We did a fresh install of Ansys SpaceClaim, but this did not work.
I have received a couple of logfiles from a customer, but i cannot attach them to this post.
Any ideas on what the cause could be? If you need more information, please let me know.

SubscriberI have also reported this problem since the SpaceClaim 2023R1 version was released, there are problems with slow opening of assembly files and crashes. The problem regarding crashes was solved in part (not for all) by carrying out these operations. Please uninstall SpaceClaim. Then, delete any SpaceClaim folder that exists in C > Program Files. Then, go to the Registry Editor (type Regedit in the Windows search)In HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software, delete any SpaceClaim folder. In HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > Software, delete any SpaceClaim folder.Delete any ansys SpaceClaim folder in C: and AppDataThen, turn off firewalls (including windows firewalls) and antivirus. Then, re-install SpaceClaim. Make sure to run the installer as administrator (right-click run as admin)Regards -
