I have two thrust cones on each side of gears and these having frictionless contact over large circular regions. I don't know if I should use a pinball radius to define the contact over a region, and whether it will be correct. Furthermore, I have attached the picture regarding the contact surface. Is this contact creating a problem as my mathematical model is stuck at 1%?July 12, 2021 at 7:23 am1shanAnsys EmployeeThis might not be a contact issue. Could you try https://forum.ansys.com/discussion/14756/got-stuck-while-creating-mathematical-model-and-solver-module-couldnt-start. Especially the first point - turn off distributed solve.
