Function of spring length in preloaded spring connection

Hi all,
I am trying to simulate a preloaded compression spring with body-ground connection. Can I know how does the spring length affects the simulation? The spring stiffness and preload force is predefined. Please see the setting below:
Hi Vinayak According to the help documentation, the free length only matters for "Rigid dynamic" analyses? In Static Structural, it should not affect the spring stiffness? As long as I have sufficient free length for the deformation, the preloading force will change linearly regardless of the free length of the spring right?
