SubscriberPlease, please, please make it possible to install the Enterprise Discovery
Suite products via the installation process like for most of ANSYS' other structural and CFD codes. I just spent 4 hours converting my DL system from the ANSYS licensing system over to our general company system for ANSYS products. I had to uninstall all 19.1 products to get the DL licensing cut over to use the local license server. -

Ansys EmployeeHello Stephen Congleton My apologies but I haven't understood your question clearly. The licensing of Enterprise version is same as ANSYS flagship products like Workbench. You need to install the package and add the license file using the License Management Center Utility. In case you are not aware of the Discovery Enterprise Installation Instructions, please click here to check them out. If you are referring to the different installers required for Enterprise license and subscription license, then this is currently a limitation. But in the upcoming release, there will only be a single installer which will work for both licensing systems. You will not have to uninstall Discovery if you switch from subscription to enterprise license or vice-versa. Secondly, if you install Discovery products in the same location where ANSYS products are installed, there is currently no option to only uninstall Discovery products. This has already been informed to the development team. -

SubscriberI was just trying to highlight there does not seem to be an easy way to move Discovery Suite products from ANSYS subscription licensing to more normal locally based license servers. If there are instructions on how to do this, please make it more visible on this site. The only "new" product in the Discovery Suite is "Live". In future releases, just include installing "Live" as an option in the general ANSYS installation process just like the other ANSYS codes. BTW - The only way I could completely remove the Discovery Suite from my computer, using the Control Panel Add/Removed programs approach, was to removal ALL ANSYS 19.1 products. Make the installation/removed of Discovery products just like addition/removal of all other ANSYS codes.
