SubscriberHi all,
I got a .igs model of a half hull of KCS ship. I want to use this to simulate flow around a hull but I found that the geometry comprises of faces not solid model. Can you point to any resource on how to do this? And I found that the geometry has some gaps between faces which I do not know how to fix it. Can Spaceclaim or Discovery do the job?
Thank you so much. -

SubscriberSpaceClaim is a great tool to repair low quality IGES files and create a solid model.
Before you start, ask the person who sent you the IGES file if they can instead export a STEP file or a Parasolid file. That is more likely to give you a cleaner solid model.

SubscriberThanks peteroznewman for answering,
Unfortunately, this is the only file that is released in public. I will try to look for STEP file. But IF I have to do it in the IGS file, could you point to the resources I should look at?
