SubscriberI get an error 75% of the time whenever I try to startup Ansys Electronics Desktop or run a simulation. The error is always something like:
[error] Failover feature 'Ansys Electronics Premium HFSS' is not available. Request name elec_solve_hfss does not exist in the licensing pool. Cannot connect to license server system. The license server manager (lmgrd) has not been started yet, the wrong [email protected] or license file is being used, or the port or hostname in the license file has been changed. Feature: elec_solve_hfss Server name: _____ License path: _____; FlexNet Licensing error:-15,10. System Error: 10061 "WinSock: Connection refused" (11:51:36 AM Apr 12, 2022)
If I try the command again and again, eventually it will make a connection with the license server (after anywhere from 2 to 15 tries)
This error only began to happen after we renewed our license and upgraded to the 2022 License Manager and 2022R1 Ansys. All machines involved have hardline connections so it's not a network problem. Our server machine is working fine for our other software, so it is not a hardware issue. The firewall for our server machine has also been disabled and the port has been fixed, just as we had done before the license was renewed.
How do we fix this problem?

Ansys EmployeeUnder %TEMP%\.ansys there should be licdebug files for the programs that you are running.
Are there any errors in those files? Can youpost the errors?
