Hi, I am simulating an axisymmetric co-flow burner, using methane as a fuel. I used the species transport model with finite rate chemistry and I imported a chemical mechanism that contains 21 species. My question is this:
Should I include gravity in the calculations? And if so, what would be an appropriate operating density?? Densities of all species obviously changes a lot during combustion...

If gravity or say buoyancy effect is important to you, you will need to include gravity in the simulation. Regarding to the operating density, it is mainly for setting the pressure type BC. If you just have one outlet and the size is not very large, you can use the default setting.
