SubscriberHello,
Several of my spaceclaim's clients ask me for information about the use of ram, cpu, vram, parallelization...
For example, here is a new request from one of my cutome using stl files:
"SpaceClaim doesn't respond anymore when I request large resources despite using only 35% of Ram (on 32 GB), 15% of my graphics card (2080 S) but very surprisingly from 15 to 97% of the processor (i7 10th generation)!"So for this example of working with STL files (shrinkwrap, shell, reduce,...) what are the most used computer components and is there a limit to the use of spaceclaim RAM? What is the hardware recommandation ?
Thanks,

Forum ModeratorHello GUICAD
I think it will be easier to understand what is the issue by testing the files on our end. Also can you send the logs related to the this file?
As for the hardware requirements, these are the minimum hardware requirements for the graphic card drivers. There could also be problems with the geometry that is causing slowdowns in SpaceClaim. Checking for geometry errors is a good start. Or the graphics driver could be out of date. Make sure to go directly to the card manufacturer's website (i.e. NVIDIA) to check for the latest version.
Regards.
