SubscriberHi there, I was recommended by my lecturer to install ANSYS 19.2 so I can complete work from my home laptop,
after installation of the Student Edition, I click the Mechanical APDL Launcher, select a directory to my Desktop (For my jobs/projects).
As soon as I click run, I get hit with this error, file attached.
Could anyone help me with this as I find this very frustrating and the future of my degree depends on this.
Thanks a lot.

Ansys EmployeeI've just tested my local installation of ANSYS 2019 R2 and all seems to be working fine with the M-APDL launcher.
For your case, could you try a different default jobname, and also check to see if the DLL Listed in the error message is present.
Report back here your findings.

Ansys EmployeeDo a Windows search (especially in C:WINDOWSsystem32 , C:WINDOWS , and C:WINDOWSSystem32Wbem) for mkl_intel_thread.dll
Do you see any hit outside the ANSYS directory ? If so, please try renaming it to something else, but please note that this may break the software that installed this dll.
If there is no hit, try the following commands in CMD Prompt and see if it works
set PATH=C:WINDOWSsystem32;C:WINDOWS;C:WINDOWSSystem32Wbem
"%AWP_ROOT193%ANSYSbinwinx64launcher.exe"
Thanks,
Win

SubscriberThanks a lot!
I have found the file in my system32 folder,
What should I rename it to?

SubscriberSo i've renamed the file in the System32 Folder,
As I've relaunched ANSYS I've come across the same initial problem.
So I've copied and pasted the Path thing (I really am not good with computers) into CMD, entered the code and its opened the product launcher, but still, no solution.

Ansys EmployeeOpen CMD Prompt, then type the following command
set | findstr -i mkl
then post the output of it here.
If nothing returns from the command, type
set
then post the entire output here
