SubscriberHi guys,
I have some questions regarding the setup of a transient store separation problem, using overset mesh and UDF in Ansys Fluent. The geometry is the one from the wide known EGLIN test case: a 4-fin store mounted under the pylon of a 45° swept wing.
The first problem is that the store lays at a minimum distance of 1.7 mm from the pylon, therefore when creating the overset interface I get a lot of orphan cells, can someone explain me how to deal with such problem? Can I create an additional refinement mesh close to the pylon?
The second problem is the UDF. I found the one attached online, but I would like to know where can I find an explanation for the variable used. Is there a Database of variables that can be used in 6-dof problems? Like how do you setup the model of the ejection forces?
Thank you for your help.

Ansys EmployeeIt's a 6DOF application, so if we don't make the tutorial public you can use the examples in the documentation to write your own. n
