How can I calculate Brad in air gap in a PMSG with calculator in Maxwell 3D? The model is transient solution Can I use this magnetostatic procedure?

      Input > Quantity > B
       General > Smooth
       Vector > Scal? > ScalarX
       Input > Function > Scalar > PHI
       Scalar > Trig > Cos
       General > *

       Input > Quantity > B
       General > Smooth
       Vector > Scal? > ScalarY
       Input > Function > Scalar > PHI
       Scalar > Trig > Sin
       General > *
       General > +

      and Btangential ?

      Thank you so much

Hello,  Yes, if the motor axis is centered on the global Z-axis, then you can use those Field Calculator commands, and this can be adjusted for other orientation by choosing the appropriate manual transformation quantities.  The easiest way if the axial direction is in global Z-direction is the following:

       Input > Quantity > B
       General > Smooth  (optional)
Vector > XForm > ToCylindrical (enter axis origin: 0,0,0)
       Vector > Scal? > ScalarX
(The first component ScalarX is radial, second component ScalarY is tangential, third ScalarZ is axial)

For Transient solution you will need to save the fields at the desired time, or you could consider using the Expression Cache in the Analysis Setup.
