SubscriberHello, I am fairly new to Fluent and CFD and I was hoping I could get some assistance with a problem I have been working on.
The context is as follows:
I have two 2D axisymmetric volumes. Volume A is filled with air at 1 atmosphere and should have a far field boundary on the edge, and Volume B is filled with sulfur dioxide at 10 atmosphere. Initially, these gases are separated. Also in the model is an orifice connecting the two volumes together. My intent with this simulation is to see how long it takes for the system to reach equilibrium and for the SO2 to evacuate the volume. I selected Species Transport for the model, I have specified Volume B as SO2 in the Cell Zone Conditions and Volume A as air. The orifice is technically a third volume and it is set as a mixture template of air and SO2 in the Cell Zone Conditions. The error pictured makes me believe the assignments are wrong. I can initialize if I set all zones to mixture-template of SO2 and air, but I don't believe that represents what I want.
I am outside my experience on this, but would like to learn more about it so any advice on setup would be appreciated.
