SubscriberHi all, I need some help with my mesh. Attached below is my current mesh.
I would like to simulate a nozzle exhaust flow. As such I want the left edge of the plane (axis) to be refined. However, as seen in the second picture, the mesh does not transition as smooth as I would hope for towards the right. Currently I am using edge sizing at the bottom edge to get a better transition but the transition only occurs at the bottom edge. Is there a method I can use to get better mesh? I previously ran a k-epsilon standard PISO scheme for this VOF which I believe should be quite suitable for my problem but the k and epsilon residual is very unstable and I assume its cause of my mesh.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

AdministratorPlease decompose the domain so that you are able to create a structured mesh. This is an easy geometry to generate a structured mesh. And it might be very useful in your analysis. Here is a video series (4 parts) that discusses domain decomposition as well as generating structured meshes. Also, please try using 'Face Meshing' option is Ansys Meshing.
I hope this helps.
Thank you.
