SubscriberHave a nice day everyone. I am trying to simulate monoscattering analysis of conducting strip (infinite along z-axis.) I am applying master slave boundaries with incident wave excitation but HFSS do not allow me that together. Without master slave boundary structure, there is no problem because of the cross section plane and we are getting solutions correctly but our teacher insist of get solutions with master slave boundary. How should we apply them together ? Thank you everyone

The HFSS version you are using is very old. It is highly recommended to use the latest version of the Ansys HFSS which you can download from the Ansys Customer Portal.
The primary and secondary boundaries (previously it was the master and slave boundary) need to be paired with the 'Floquet port' excitation type and not with the Incident wave' excitation in the HFSS. To learn more about Floquet port you can visit - Ansys HFSS Floquet Port - ANSYS Innovation Courses
Hope this helps.

Anchal
