Get a model running with just those five parts.nAn even simpler model is to have just the spring and no contact. Hold one end of the wire fixed and put a remote displacement on the other end of the wire. That remote displacement should set all DOF to zero except for the axial displacement that will compress the spring. That is guaranteed to run and will give you the first result for the forces that this spring can develop. All the other parts will only modify that value slightly.nViewing 8 reply threads
