SubscriberI'm trying to validate some wind tunnel simulations. My geometry consists in 5 spires at the entrance of the wind tunnel, and various roughness elements (square blocks) at the surface of the wind tunnel. I attach the print of my geometry.
I have already tested different methods and sizes of the elements, but I could only achieve this: skewness Min 1.31E-10, Max 0.99842, Average 0.21809. The orthogonal quality is Min 1.58E-03, Max 0.99999 and Average 0.78044.
How can I reduce my skewness?

Ansys Employeeif you are going to use fluent, please check orthogonal quality. if min ortho quality is greater than 0.1 then your mesh is good.
please find the locations of bad elements. please check following video.
then apply different sizing at those locations. in some cases you may need to modify geometry at those locations.

I identified that the spires are the ones that present the bad elements, as you can see below.
How can I apply different sizes in these specific locations?
If that doesn’t solve the issue, I can try to modify the geometry in these locations, as you suggested, but I am not sure how to do that as well…
