SubscriberI need to take an STL file produced from a Topology Optimization workflow and split it up into separate bodies, that way I can select individual bodies in a static structural analysis to measure the average stress of specific members. Is there a way to do this in Ansys, or would another software be needed to supplement the workflow?

Ansys EmployeeFrom description it looks like you need to convert faceted data to solid body. For this you will need to use SpaceClaim reverse engineering.

SubscriberIn SpaceClaim, you can insert a Plane and on the Design tab use the Split Body to slice the body using the plane. Do this for as many planes as you need. You can use the Combine tool to Unite parts that you didn't want cut off. Finally, go to the Workbench tab and use the Share button so the mesh will hold all the pieces together.
